I love the rains,
They soothe me so.
And when the rain clouds
Hovered above me,
Threatening to pour,
I laughed at them.
Bring it on, I said,
Unknowing of their plan for me.
I wish I did not trust the rains so much.
Now I am drenched as the soil beneath the river,
And the sun is nowhere to be seen.
